The gallery at Wayward Arts is a space intended to push boundaries and spark meaningful discourse. The name comes from imagining how a piece of work can be carved from a block of wood, by digging into the negative spaces, a beautiful work emerges. Much like by digging into our past many lives, and by daring to look deeply at the negative, traumatic, challenging moments of our lives, we come to a whole - accepting all parts of a self. We negate the “straight and narrow” by exploring the wayward path. The gallery intends to show artwork to reflect a similar concept by not accepting pretty little ditties to decorate our homes. We are dedicated to showcasing artists whose work bring unique perspectives and bold ideas to the forefront, and creating a space where these works can inspire, provoke, and engage our community. Through our commitment to promoting unconventional art, we aim to inspire free thinking, broaden cultural horizons, and cultivate a community of open-minded individuals.

Located in the historic Deagan building in the Ravenswood Arts Corridor, the gallery is convenient to public transportation and easy street parking along Ravenswood Avenue.

The Gallery is open by appointment.
